Lucia Swift of Lucia Sounds
Lucia Swift is dedicated to a life of celebrating the wisdom and power of following the path of the sacred.
Lucia Swift is a Sound and Music Facilitator, with over 13 years of experience working with individuals and facilitating workshops using Sound and Vibration. Lucia has deeply immersed herself with indigenous cultures in both Central and South America, walking the path of the Red Road, and in Central Australia where she has lived for the past 9 years. Lucia has learned through direct experience the immense healing potential of song and sound. She is dedicated to a life of celebrating the wisdom and mystery of following the path of the sacred and being a bridge between cultures.
Lucia creates dynamic and ritualistic therapeutic spaces which provide both active involvement and personal relaxation and insight. She loves creating spaces that are accessible and inclusive in a broad range of community services for health and wellbeing and also loves to empower people to find their own authentic “voice”. She now runs “Connection to Country” women pilgrimages in Central Australia annually that she is deeply inspired by weaving all her life experiences together.
Lucia works with a broad range of community services for health and wellbeing through mindfulness and meditation practices, movement, sound and music therapy and community musical engagement.
She has offered this work for the passed 4 years in Alice Springs in mental health programs. Her passion now lies in creating women’s cultural/healing camps on country in Central Australia.
She sees the great importance for people of Australia to experience traditional indigenous culture of
Central Australia which she believes is part of the process of decolonisation.
She has been taught by her cherished adopted mother- Alison Hunt a Senior traditional Law woman of Central Australia who has guided her with her traditional ways as a healer.
